Term 4 - Week 3

Travis received our class award this week for showing how organised he can be.  Travis is always ready for each lesson, gets his work finished on time and packs up ready for the next subject.  Well done Travis!

Boom Boom Pow! Our Jump Jam song to practise before assembly next Friday.

Scooters have become VERY popular in our class, great to see you all getting active at lunchtime, trying new skills, and keeping your brains safe by wearing those helmets!

Beau received our class award for being respectful and organised.

Go Beau!!!!

Term 4 - Week 2

We began our 'Drains to Harbour' topic for the term looking at stormwater and the impact (good and bad) that people have on our streams.  Our first trip is a walk down to Poorman's stream on Monday 2nd November, leaving school at 1:30.  Come and join us!

The envirogroup 'green team' met and started our work on the planter boxes that have been invaded by weeds.  Some of our class are in this group.

Term 4 - Week 1

We wore pink clothes today to show we are united against bullying!

Welcome Back!

We have a couple of trips coming up as I have enrolled our class in the  'Drains To Harbour' programme.  We will be looking at what lives in our fresh waterways, how people monitor the health of these streams, what stormwater is and and where it ends up, the difference between stormwater and wastewater, and what impact people have on local streams.

Our first trip will be on Monday 2nd November (week 4 of this term) and we will be walking down to Poor Man's Stream at 1:15.  It would be great to have some parents join us for this.
The second trip will be on Thursday 12th November (week 5 of the term) and we will need a few drivers for that one as we will be leaving school at 11:00 to drive further up the stream (to look at a healthier section of it) in Marsden Valley.  A note will be sent home soon to request parent help.

Parker's Bunnies

At the end of Term 3 Parker brought his bunnies in to show us.  I just had to post these on here as they are the cutest things I have ever seen.  Such unusual colouring.  Some of the children have chosen to write about them in their 'Sparks Books,' and some are researching about how to take care of rabbits.  (Sorry parents!! :) )
