Term 4 - Week 7

 

Leo received our class award this week for the GRIT he showed at athletics and in class.  Keep up the great work Leo!

The year 4 students had their adventure day, lots of GRIT shown and great respect shown for the instructors.

We also had our fancy-dress mufti day

Aidan received our class award for the GRIT he shows when things get tricky, good on you Aidan!

Term 4 - Week 5

Jacob received our class award this week for the respect he shows to others each day by lending a helping hand and being kind.

This weeks mufti theme saw lots of book characters arriving in Room 7.  Next week's theme is pyjama day!

We had a great trip up Marsden Valley to Poorman's Stream today.  A HUUUUUUUUUGE thanks to all the adult helpers that joined us today, we could not have had this fun experience without you!

We caught a longfin eel! These special creatures are only found in N.Z (an endemic species).

It was released later.

Term 4 - Week 4

Well done Ti Kouka for your awesome dance at assembly today! I was soooooo proud of you all and have got lots of nice comments from other teachers and parents to pass on to you.

Eden received our class award this week for all the times she has stepped up as a year 4 and shown responsibility.  Eden is always organised and happy to help others when they get stuck on something tricky. Thanks for leading our assembly this week with Maddie!

This Friday (06 November) is another fun mufti day, the theme is rainbow so dress head to toe in one colour of the rainbow...or as close as you can get!

Term 4 - week 4

Here is our national anthem to practise.

The rain fell today and that meant no stream trip but luckily Mel and Freya (the drains to harbour co-ordinators) had a great plan B up their sleeves and brought in some fun stream-based indoor activities.  We got to play games, do puzzles, play bingo, test water clarity (from water they had collected for us from Poorman's Stream), and look at some local stream-life that Mel had collected in the rain for us.  Thanks so much!
