Pen Pals!

Mrs Harpur has set up pen pals at Brightwater school.  At the end of last term they replied to our letters and the students read these out to some senior students.

Term 2 - Week 10

Have a fun and safe holiday Tī Kōuka, it has been a very busy term and you have all worked really hard.  See you in Term 3!

 The students got into groups to share the creative alien stories they have written.

Term 2 - Week 9

Miecke received our class award for the GRIT she shows when facing a challenge.

Heather (Nelson Enviro-Schools leader) hears about this amazing class that has its own worm farm and comes to visit!

She presented all sorts of interesting information about worms and composting.

 We get to enjoy the final animal projects.

Term 2 - Week 8

Travis received our class award for being responsible and helpful.

We had some keen students join the school enviro-group and begin weeding out the planter boxes ready to put some new plants in.

The next step is to take some good soil and compost from the senior compost bin and mix it through to improve the soil.

We had a show called the Tortoise and the Hare.

 More animal projects completed this week, remember they are all due in next week.

Ella received our class award for the respect and responsibility she shows every day.

Term 2 - Week 5

Jayden received our class award this week for the respect and kindness he shows others.

 Some students have started sharing their animal projects for our topic.

We have begun looking at measurement in maths, we measured things like our desks, some books, the height of students, and our shoes.  We are also looking at how different smaller measurements link with larger ones.
